National Milk Day
The Faculty of Veterinary Science, Tantia University, organized a special programme on National Milk Day on 26 November 2025 to commemorate the significant contributions of the dairy sector and to create awareness among students about the importance of milk and dairy products.
The event began with a Welcome Speech by the Dean, Dr. R.P.S. Baghel who greeted the guests and students and emphasized the importance of celebrating National Milk Day. The programme was graced by the presence of Hon’ble President, Prof. M. M. Saxena, who addressed the students and highlighted the significance of National Milk Day, the role of Dr. Verghese Kurien—the Father of the White Revolution—and the contribution of the dairy industry to India’s economy and nutritional security.
As part of the celebration, various co-curricular competitions such as Quiz, Poster Presentation and Speech Competition were conducted. Students actively participated and showcased their knowledge, creativity and communication skills. Medals and certificates were awarded to the winning students to acknowledge and encourage their efforts.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, organizing committee and all participants for making the event successful.
